For the first time a festival deals with India and China at the same time and expresses their diversity. The region in the world in which a third of mankind lives in the polarity of city and country is currently in a state of enormous cultural and societal flux.
sommerszene 2007 tries to capture India´s and China´s sense of time by means of different modes of artistic expression to turn it into a traceable experience here in Salzburg. Various formats of performance mirror dichotomies and tell individual stories.

For almost all of these artistic contributions it will be an Austria-première, some of them are leaving their home country for the first time. It was an adventure and an exploration to bring more than 120 artists from India and China together and to get to know each other.
This blog is a way of sharing experiences between the audience and the artists and also curious listening to the different expectations, opinions, feeback, etc.
